Research Interests
Dr. Faiola’s research agenda includes the domains of Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Computer-Mediated Communication (CMC), and Medical Informatics. His research addresses problems related the conceptual design and testing of information technologies, including: 1) the impact of cultural cognition on online systems and software design and 2) medical information system design and usability.
Dr. Anthony Faiola is the Executive Associate Dean for the School of Informatics at IUPUI, Director of the Human-Computer Interaction program, and an Associate Professor. As a three-time Fulbright Scholar to Russia in Communication Technology, he has pursued a broad scholarly path since the early 1980s that has evolved from the fields of visual communication and human-computer interaction design.
